William Osler Health Centre (WOHC)

WOHC was one of the first Design Built P3 projects with a purpose built foodservice centre to accommodate a procured foodservice operation. Prepared food is delivered to the newly designed kitchen facility for decasing, portioning, packaging and cold plating to service the area’s 1,000 bed requirement. The meal components are also delivered to two remote facilities.

A decentralized retherm system with on-floor serveries, complete with dishwashing and service capabilities enables this operation and allows for a more patient focused approach to meal service.
